Plant Root Images
The images shown below
represent the
current state of our development. These images were captured using our
digital x-ray radiographic systems and then combined into photomontage
images that provide a view of actual plant root growth and subsurface
arrangement. In the case of stereo images of our small containers, full
resolution images are approximately 2000 x 7000 pixels.
Maize at 16 Days
from Germination
This
is a portion of a full resolution stereo image that illustrates the
imaging capability and resolution of our small container system.
The
use of anaglyphic (red, cyan) glasses is required to experience the
depth of field of the images. Please contact
us, providing a
name, mailing address, and qualifying information and we will be glad
to mail out a pair of glasses.
Alternatively,
red/cyan glasses may be purchased from a number of suppliers.
Large Container
Image
Below
is a reduced resolution image of soybean roots in our 150mm x 600mm
container. The full resolution of this image is about 5000 x 20,000
pixels. With these large container sizes, we have not implemented a
stereo image capture capability.
Please
contact
us for additional images.
